Operator console

For the Copilot Insights team: the back-office console for organisations, users, billing, coupons and demo requests.

The operator console is the back office for the Copilot Insights team at LogiSam — the people who run the service. It is not part of the customer experience: if you are a customer using Copilot Insights, you will not see it and can safely skip this page. What follows documents the console for operators.

For the Copilot Insights team only

The operator console is internal to LogiSam. Customers manage their own account under Settings and Plans & billing.

Opening the console

  1. Sign in with Microsoft using an operator account.
  2. Click the Admin button at the top-right of the app.
  3. The operator console opens with its own sidebar.
  4. Use Back to app to return to the normal customer view at any time.

Generating a coupon

Coupons grant a customer a higher plan for a limited window — handy for trials and partners. To create one:

  1. Open Coupons.
  2. Choose the plan the coupon unlocks (default Pro).
  3. Set the duration (default 3 days).
  4. Set the maximum redemptions.
  5. Click Generate code and share it with the customer.

The customer redeems it under Billing & plans; their plan flips for the window, then reverts automatically. The customer-side steps are in Plans & billing.

Log in as (impersonation)

Log in as lets an operator view the app exactly as a chosen customer sees it, which is invaluable for support. While impersonating, a clear banner shows in the customer app so it is obvious the session is being viewed by an operator. Impersonation is still read-only on the tenant — the guarantees in Security & privacy continue to apply.

Frequently asked questions

Can customers open the operator console?

No. It is internal to the Copilot Insights / LogiSam team and only appears for operator accounts after signing in with Microsoft.

Does impersonation weaken the read-only guarantee?

No. Viewing a customer's app never grants write access to their tenant, and a banner is shown throughout an impersonated session.

How does a customer get a coupon to redeem?

An operator generates it here and shares the code; the customer redeems it under Plans & billing.
