Settings

Manage your account, anonymise user names, control email digests, and disconnect or delete your data.

Settings is where you manage your account and the privacy controls that shape what Copilot Insights shows and shares. Everything here follows the same rule as the rest of the product: it is read-only on your tenant and works from usage metadata, never content. This page walks through each control in turn.

Your account and profile

Update the name and details on your Copilot Insights account. This is the identity used for your sign-in and shown around the app; changing it never touches anything inside your Microsoft 365 tenant.

Anonymise user names in reports

Turn on data anonymisation to mask individual user names across dashboards and reports, so you can analyse and share adoption without exposing who is who. The licence and usage figures stay exactly the same — only the names are hidden. This complements the automatic Names anonymised banner that appears when Microsoft itself returns anonymised usage data. For the full picture, see Security & privacy.

Email ROI digests

Opt in to periodic ROI digest emails so the headline numbers — reclaimable spend, adoption and agent count — land in your inbox without opening the app. Digests summarise metadata only and link back to your full Overview dashboard.

Disconnect your tenant

Disconnect revokes Copilot Insights' access to your Microsoft 365 tenant immediately. Because consent was read-only, disconnecting simply stops future scans — nothing in your tenant is changed. You can reconnect later by granting consent again.

Disconnect keeps your history

Disconnecting stops new data collection but keeps the scan history already held in Copilot Insights. To remove that too, delete your organisation below.

Delete your organisation and data

Delete removes your organisation and all of its scan data from Copilot Insights for good. This is irreversible, so you are asked to confirm before it runs. For retention periods, sub-processors and your rights, see the Privacy Notice.

Frequently asked questions

Does anonymisation change my numbers?

No. Only user names are masked — the licence, usage and ROI figures are unchanged, so your analysis stays accurate.

What is the difference between disconnecting and deleting?

Disconnecting revokes access and stops new scans but keeps your existing history. Deleting removes your organisation and all of its scan data permanently.

Where do I manage billing and coupons?

On the Billing & plans page, not in Settings — see Plans & billing.
