Multi-tenant lets you connect more than one Microsoft 365 tenant to Copilot Insights and move between them in a single click. It is built for Enterprise organisations that run several tenants and for managed-service partners who look after many customers. Every tenant is connected on the same read-only, metadata-only basis as a single tenant.
Connect more than one tenant
Each tenant is connected with its own read-only Microsoft Graph consent, exactly as described in Getting started. Connecting a second tenant does not link it to the first — each grant is separate, and each can be revoked on its own from Microsoft Entra at any time.
The tenant switcher
- A tenant switcher appears in the top bar as soon as more than one tenant is connected.
- Pick a tenant and the whole app — Overview, Licences, Agents, Reports — reloads for that tenant.
- The Tenants page lists every connected tenant with its plan and latest scan, and is where you connect a new tenant or remove an existing one.
Per-tenant isolation
Tenants never mix. Each keeps its own scans, snapshots, reports and recommendations, and switching simply changes which tenant you are looking at — figures are never combined across tenants. For organisations that need the strongest boundary, Copilot Insights also offers a self-hosting option, so the whole product runs inside your own environment for full isolation.
Read-only, whichever tenant you view
Every connected tenant is metadata-only and read-only — Copilot Insights never reads prompt, chat or file content and can never write back, in any tenant. See Security & privacy.
Because tenants stay separate, each one carries its own scan history and cadence and is billed on its own plan. Switching tenant in the top bar changes the plan badge and the Live or Demo indicator alongside the data, so you always know which customer or environment you are working in.

Frequently asked questions
Can data from one tenant appear in another?
No. Each tenant is fully isolated, with its own scans, snapshots and reports. Switching tenants changes the view; it never merges figures across tenants.
Is multi-tenant available on Pro?
No — connecting multiple tenants and the top-bar switcher are Enterprise-and-above. Enterprise supports up to five connected tenants, and MSP / Partner is unlimited. See Plans & billing.
What if we need complete isolation?
Copilot Insights offers a self-hosting option that runs the product inside your own environment. It stays read-only and metadata-only; see Security & privacy.
